Our Story

Working Animals Retirement Network (WARN)* is the result of five founding members who are passionate about the care and quality of life of animals being retired after a lifetime of work. We are firmly against animal exploitation of any kind.

What started as an idea to create a database of resources for rescued and retiring service animals quickly developed into a national network, helping animals of all species. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, volunteers, and donors, WARN has been able to place over 350 animals in 2022 alone.

Our Partners

WARN’s partners include private sanctuaries, rescue organizations, farms, ranches, animal rights groups, public and private universities, veterinary professionals, corporate sponsors, private individuals, and dedicated volunteers who share our objectives and mission.
